It was reported yesterday that Australian fashion designer Dan Single is in an induced coma in the ICU after falling from a balcony in Paris last week.
He was reportedly working with his wife, Bambi Northwood Blyth, in their room at the Hotel Grand D’Amour when he fell from their third-floor-balcony and landed feet-first. He shattered “every bone from the bottom of his spine down to his heels,” a source told The Daily Telegraph.
While reports claim he has not suffered any brain damage, his condition is said to have worsened as friends and family make arrangements to be by his side in Paris.
“His legs are a mess. He won’t be walking for a very long time. It’s expected both he and Bambi will have to stay over there for quite a while because he’s not able to fly,” a source told the Sunday Telegraph.
Northwood Blyth has not released a statement, though she did take to Instagram to share a message of love after missing her sister’s wedding to remain in Paris.
“To my amazing sister Sophie and Volkan,” she wrote on Instagram. “Sorry I cant be there; I am sending you millions of kisses and love and vibes and best wishes through the airwaves from Paris. I love you.”
We’ll keep you updated as more information about this tragic circumstance arrives. Sending love to Bambi and their family in this difficult time.
