Kim Kardashian West excitedly announced the launch of her new makeup line, KKW BEAUTY, just yesterday.
Though the news was enthusiastically received by many fans, it didnโt go down well with some.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has been accused of using โblackfaceโ in her new campaign.
Some have accused the star of darkening her skin tone in the photo which was initially deleted, then re-uploaded.

โBlack women get told to lighten meanwhile Kim spends her entire career in perpetual blackface and is lauded for her beauty,โ one Twitter user wrote.
โYou donโt have to do blackface,โ said another.
The backlash was swift, with countless Twitter users calling out Kim for the photo:

On the other side, however, were fans who didnโt think this darker skin tone in the photo could be considered โblackface.โ
don't get why people are saying you did blackface. Your jus tan from vacation. Do people not follow your snap and see you in Mexico tannin?
