Australian television icon Kerri-Anne Kennerley has announced the passing of her husband John Kennerley.
On Thursday, February 28, Kerri-Anne took to Instagram to share the sad news. “It’s with a heavy heart and awful sadness that I let you know that my beautiful husband John passed away last night,” she wrote alongside a wedding photo. “As you all know, John has faced some tremendous challenges over the past few years and with each he has been extraordinarily brave and determined to overcome those hurdles and live a normal life.”
The Studio 10 host addressed all those who helped John during his trialling time. “I want to thank everyone at St Vincent’s Hospital for the beautiful care they have provided to John in his last days,” her caption read. “John passed away peacefully with his son Simon and me by his side.”
She ended her tribute, saying, “John, you were the love of my life. Xxx”
Kerri-Anne and John wed in 1984. In March 2016, John was paralysed after injuring his neck in a fall at Coffs Harbour.
