The royals may jet around in private planes when they’re on official business, but as Kate Middleton and Prince William just proved, when it comes to their personal holidays, they’re not afraid to fly budget.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their three kids, Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1, were spotted getting off a FlyBe plane after flying from Norwich, England to Aberdeen, Scotland.
And apparently, most of the passengers on the flight didn’t even know they were aboard.
“The family were sat right at the front. I fly this route all the time and we were none the wiser. No-one knew they were on the flight,” a source told The Daily Mail.
“They weren’t harassed by anyone at all as they got off the plane. They just seemed like a family travelling together to be honest.”
It’s expected that Kate, William and their kids, along with the family’s nanny Maria Borrallo, are heading to Balmoral to visit the Queen and Prince Philip.
The Cambridge’s decision to fly on a budget airline doesn’t come as too much of a surprise given Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were recently criticised for taking four private jet flights over the past two weeks, with claims they were contributing to climate change.
