Turns out Meghan Markle’s lavish NYC baby shower hosted by Serena Williams won’t be her only one celebrating the impending arrival of Baby Sussex. At the time of the shower, reports came out that Meghan would be having a smaller celebration back in the UK. Now, Us Weekly has a little more detail about who the host of that bash will be: her sister-in-law Kate Middleton.
“There is still going to be some sort of private baby-centric event for Meghan’s UK people, and Kate will host,” a royal insider told the publication. “Her glam people and other relatives will be there. Not sure if it’s a total baby ‘shower,’ but you could probably call it that.”
Reports of Kate hosting a shower for Meghan further put feud rumours between the two to rest.

Meghan’s UK baby shower is said to be happening after the three-day royal tour of Morocco that Meghan and Harry just returned from. Kate and William had their own royal tour in Northern Ireland two two-days, returning after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland is expected to be at the UK gathering as well. Kate was not at Meghan’s New York City shower, in part because her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte were on their school holidays. The family spent that week in Anmer Hall, the family’s country estate. Daily Mail reports that one day, Kate took Charlotte and George to a luxury hotel in Norfolk where they went swimming in the pool.
“Kate was organising little races for them, and they did it around four or five times,” a witness said. “She said ‘ready, steady go’ and did a downward chopping action in the water to indicate the start of the race.”
