For any mother whoโs breastfed, you know it can seriously overtake your schedule. That means, nursing your new bub when it needs (and wants) takes priority over everything elseโฆincluding working out.
Kate Hudson gets it. Her friend Erin Foster shared a few Instagram stories from an at-home barre workout with Kate. At one point, Kate needed to nurse her newborn daughter Rani. โAnd, weโre pausing for a breastfeed,โ Erin says, as the camera pans over to a smiling Kate. But, whatโs incredible is that instead of stopping her workout to finish things up, Kate went back into the workout while breastfeeding.
โMotherhood doesnโt slow us down,โ Erin wrote over another video of Kate doing leg lifts, lunges, and more while nursing.

Earlier this month, Kate shared that she had planned to raise her daughter with a โgenderless approach.โ The 39-year-old actress revealed in an interview with AOL that she has embraced the approach with three-month-old Rani, as well as her two sons from previous relationships: Bingham Hawn, 7, and Ryder Russell, 15.
โ[Having a daughter] doesnโt really change my approach, but thereโs definitely a difference,โ she told the outlet. โI think you just raise your kids individually regardless, like a genderless [approach]. We still donโt know what sheโs going to identify as.โ
โI will say that, right now, she is incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds and her way,โ Hudson explained. โItโs very different from the boys, and itโs really fun to actually want to buy kidsโ clothes.โ
โWith the boys, it was just onesiesโฆactually, I did pretty good with the boys,โ she said. โBut with her, itโs a whole other ball game. Thereโs some stuff that Iโm like, โI canโt do that to her, because itโs so over-the-topโ.โ

Later, Hudson took to Instagram to clarify her comments. โRecently someone asked me something along the lines of, if having and raising a girl is different from boys,โ she began. โMy response was simple. Not really. The whole click bait tactic of saying Iโm raising my daughter to be โgenderlessโ is silly and frankly doesnโt even make sense.โ
โMe saying a โgenderless approachโ was a way of refocusing the conversation in a direction that could exist outside of the female stereotype. It just felt a little antiquated to me.โ
โNot all girls want to be a princess, some want to be king and thatโs fine with me,โ she added.
