Law enforcement confirms to TMZ, “the woman showed up Thursday at 11:19 AM (west coast time), and pointed a revolver at an employee.”

According to reports the woman was shouting, “Free Cuba” and “Stay away from Cuba.”

Police arrived at the scene shortly after. In a bizarre twist the woman returned to the scene some hours later and left a machete. Law enforcement told TMZ that witnesses saw her jump into a taxi and leave.

It has been confirmed that none of the Kardashian family were at the store at the time, they are yet to comment on the incident. Kourtney, Khloe, Kim and Kanye visited Havana, Cuba in May 2016 filming two episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians there and sharing a series of photos from the vacation to their social media channels. Cuba only recently started welcoming visitors from the U.S.

At the time the trip sparked political controversy with South Florida representative Ileana Ros-Lehtinen releasing a statement to People:

“Far from photo shoots and fruity drinks, everyday Cubans experience a different, sad reality. Now, the Kardashians are parachuting into the island to tape their vapid TV show — Haven’t the Cuban people suffered enough?”
