Chrissy Teigen said that she ‘never left the house’ unless she was going to the studio, and most days she slept on the couch.

Legend spoke to Vanity Fair at The Hollywood Reporter‘s Most Powerful Stylists in Hollywood dinner party co-hosted by Jimmy Choo in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

“I am so proud of her for writing about her struggles and letting people know about it. It takes a lot of courage and she really is amazing for doing that,” he said.

“The reason why she acknowledged the pain that she’s going through was for her to let other women know that they’re not alone, and that it can happen to anyone.”

He continued that he found it hard that he wasn’t going through the same thing so couldn’t know exactly how she felt. But he did his best to support her.

“To be honest, I was really scared because I didn’t know what exactly she was feeling or how to help her,” he said.

“All I knew was that it was my job to do everything I could to help her and try to understand what she was going through. It’s about being compassionate and supporting her, and telling her no matter what, I am going to be there for her and that I love her.”
