Sophie Turner And Joe Jonas Just Got Matching Tattoos For The Most Heartbreaking Reason

The couple's dog was hit by a car earlier this week

According to TMZ, Waldo was hit by a car in New York City on Wednesday night in New York City by a driver who then fled the scene.

Naturally, the newlyweds were heartbroken with TMZ reporting that the couple delayed filing the police report because they were so emotional over the loss. It was also reported they went to a counselling session to help with their grief afterwards.

Today, Joe and Sophie debuted brand new matching tattoos on their arms as a tribute to Waldo. Joe shared his on Instagram writing, “R.I.P. my little angel,” while Sophie took to Instagram Stories, writing, “I miss you Waldo. Rest in peace my little baby.”

Joe and Sophie got Waldo in April 2018 to join their other Alaskan Klee Kai, Porky. Both dogs were from the same litter and Sophie announced the new addition to the family on her Instagram that month, captioning the photo: “Welcome to the family @waldopicassojonas.”

Both dogs were present at Sophie and Joe’s wedding in France wearing adorable tuxedos to match the groom’s party. Joe previously opened up to PEOPLE saying Waldo and Porky are “the bougiest dogs I’ve ever met.” He also revealed that Porky is the “wild” one of the brothers, while Waldo tended to be “shy.”
