Aussie glamour couple Jesinta Campbell and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin managed to pull the wool over all of our eyes this weekend and tie the knot in a secret ceremony.
The couple shared photos from their big day, taking everyone by surprise with a stunning photo uploaded to Instagram, simply captioned ‘Mr & Mrs Franklin’.
When the photo surfaced, the rumour mill went into overdrive, with some reports saying the wedding had been held weeks earlier, while some reported that the ceremony took place in Queenstown.
Basically no one knew what was going on, and this is how the couple did it.

With only immediate family and close friends whom they couple trust in attendance, the couple managed the keep details under wraps until they were ready to share the news themselves on social media.
The wedding took place in a pictuesque private garden at Mount Wilson’s Wildenstein Gardens before a reception was held in a small marquee.
Guests helped throw off the scent by posting photos of the special day tagging incorrect locations as well as using the hashtag #shazandtony, which suggests the couple arranged details of the wedding under pseudonyms to further ensure their privacy.
“It wasn’t a stuffy wedding,” a source at the wedding told Fairfax. “She [Jesinta] is known for being laid back and easy going and that’s exactly what she was as a bride. They danced all night long and were surrounded by people who love and respect them.”
The bride wore a dramatic corseted and tulle Vera Wang gown for the ceremony, before changing into a second gown by the same designed, worth a reported $20,000.
Campbell, who has since changed her surname on social media to Franklin, was spotted visiting the Vera Wang boutique in New York earlier this year and sat front row at the designer’s show during New York Fashion Week.
The pair have been engaged since December 2014 and back in May the model revealed to The Courier Mail that they planned to keep their wedding plans “very simple” and would probably elope.
“It won’t be a Big Fat Greek Wedding. I’ll just come back and be Mrs Franklin and that will be it.”
Following the ceremony, the newlywed posted a snap to her Instagram story of a car driving down a tree-lined road, with the caption “let out adventure begin”, suggesting they are heading off on their honeymoon.
While it’s unclear where they headed, during a recent appearance on the Today show, the David Jones Ambassador revealed she and Franklin were about to head off on a month-long holiday.
