Forbes just released their list of highest paid actresses for 2016, and Jennifer Lawrence has topped the list for the second year in a row.
Before tax, she earned $46 million, which was largely due to two movies – the final Hunger Games film and her upcoming movie Passengers, which also stars Chris Pratt. Jennifer Lawrence is also youngest on the top 10 list at 26 years old.

Forbes has yet to release their list of highest paid actors for 2016, but there is still a pay gap in the industry, something Jennifer Lawrence has fought very vocally to fix. Last year, Robert Downey Jr was the highest paid actor, earning $80 million before tax, which almost makes Jennifer Lawrence’s $46 million look like small change! Though she topped the list of highest paid actresses, she only came in at #49 in the list of highest paid celebrities.
Hopefully this will be something to change in the future with more women like Jennifer Lawrence fighting for pay equality in the industry.
