Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would know that there’s a US Presidential election this year which means Barack Obama and his family will be required to vacate the White House to make way for the new President.
Where does one even start to look after calling the White House home?
Well the soon-to-be former POTUS, wife Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha – and not to forget their beloved pooches Bo and Sunny – have chosen to stay in Washington DC at least until Sasha finishes school.

According to Politco, the family have leased a $6.4 million nine-bedroom, eight-and-a-half bathroom home in DC’s exclusive Kalorama neighbourhood.

The 8,200-square-foot home is actually owned by former White House press secretary Joe Lockhart and wife Giovanna Gray who have relocated to Manhattan.
The family will remain in the White House until Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, 2017 when the new President will officially take office.
