Every International Women’s Day is important. But this one felt especially strong, focused and LOUD.
Perhaps it’s because we’re living in some sort of weird parallel universe (hello Donald Trump). Whatever it was, there didn’t seem to be a woman – and a hell of a lot of men – in Australia who weren’t moved by the sheer awesomeness of the day.
Some of the best moments came via social media. This dad shared pics of the rocking tshirts he bought for his young daughter (um, do they come in our size?)

But one day is not enough. It’s no good getting excited and agitating on March 8 if March 9 onwards sees us slump back into the same cruel inequalities.
