On Monday, Kylie Jenner confirmed she had, indeed, been pregnant amidst all the speculation, and had given birth to a little girl on February 1st.
And just this morning, the 20-year-old gave the world its first glimpse at her newborn, revealing her name: Stormi.
Now only one question remains: How on earth did the Kardashian-Jenner family keep a secret this huge for nine whole months?
Naturally, it wasn’t easy. “Keeping Kylie’s pregnancy under wraps for an entire nine months was ridiculously difficult for her friends. It was definitely a relief when they could finally congratulate her. It was the hardest secret to keep,” a source told In Touch magazine.
“But everyone’s so happy for Kylie and it’s obvious that she’s going to be a great mum.”
On the logistics of hiding a baby bump on one of the most famous faces in the world, another insider told Entertainment Tonight that the family was very strategic.
“They were strategic about not being photographed and strategic about who they told,” they said.
“She likely used a decoy car, something the Kardashians have done a lot when trying to avoid being followed or photographed,” they continued.
“They enforced the legal rights of patients, it’s against the law to release information about patients to the public, Kris no doubt would have made sure they upheld their responsibilities to their patient.”
Though it seems like quite a few of Kylie and Travis’ friends knew about the pregnancy, the source says: “They told no one.“
“They kept the news very private, only immediate family knew. They didn’t start a text chain with family and friends until after Kylie made the announcement.”
