US Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has sparked fresh health concerns after a video circulated which appears to show her collapsing at a September 11 memorial.
The video shows the 68-year-old being held up by her aides as they put her into a waiting vehicle.
Clinton was reportedly taken to her daughter Chelsea’s home which was nearby where she recuperated, before being seen walking out and smiling for the waiting photographers.
“I’m feeling great,” she said. “It’s a beautiful day in New York.”
A statement has since been released by her doctor Lisa Bardack stated that she has been diagnosed with pneumonia.
“Secretary Clinton has been experiencing a cough related to allergies. On Friday, during follow up evaluation of her prolonged cough, she was diagnosed with pneumonia,” said Dr Bardack.
“She was put on antibiotics, and advised to rest and modify her schedule. While at this morning’s event, she became overheated and dehydrated. I have just examined her and she is now re-hydrated and recovering nicely.”
While questions have been raised over health and ability to serve as the President of the United States should she be elected, Dr Bardack said last month that she was “in excellent health and fit to serve as president of the United States”.
