A high school PE teacher in the US has been arrested after having sex with three male students.
News.com.au reports Nicole Aymond was charged with having sexual intercourse with male students, and faces three counts of prohibited sexual conduct.
The police received a call from a worried parent at a school in Louisiana where Nicole Aymond was a basketball coach and a PE teacher.
Chief Deon Boudreaux told KADN that once Aymond was arrested, she admitted to having sexual relations with two of the students, after police revealed that they had nude photographs of her on their phone.
“She told them she had sexual relationship with two of the young men and a third young man not a sexual relationship, she did kiss on him and things like that,’ he said.
In terms of consent, the relationship was legal, as both the boys were over 17 years old (the age of consent in Louisiana). However, she had broken another law which prohibits teachers from getting into a relationship with students at a school they teach at.
St. Landry Parish School Board Superintendent Patrick Jenkins released a statement following the allegations.
“We are aware of and investigating the recent allegations involving an employee from Port Barre High School,” he said.
“We want to assure the school community that we take reports of this nature very seriously and will do everything in our power to protect the health, safety and welfare of all students.
“Due to student privacy laws we will not provide details regarding the students involved.
“There will be no further comment on the ongoing personnel investigation.”
The school has also faced another accusation that a different teacher has had sex with a student, however there has not been any evidence yet to prove this.
