Gwyneth Paltrow is one of the most talked about women in the world, from her modern family with new husband Brad Falchuk and ex husband Chris Martin, to her lifestyle mega brand, Goop.
But the 46-year-old became a talking point this week for all the wrong reasons, as it emerged that she was getting sued for $4.27 million for an alleged ski hit and run.
Gwyneth has been accused in a lawsuit of breaking a man’s ribs and leaving him with a concussion following an apparent 2016 incident in a ski resort in Salt Lake City, Utah.
72-year-old Terry Sanderson claims that the actor left him on the beginner’s run at Deer Valley Resort injured and did not send for help, going on to claim in his lawsuit that her instructor had filed a ‘false report’ saying that she did not cause the crash.
He is claiming US$3.1 million (AU$$4.27) in damages.
While Gwyneth has not made a direct statement about the alleged incident, her spokeswoman Heather Wilson spoke on her behalf, announcing: ‘This lawsuit is without merit and we expect to be vindicated’.
The Deer Valley Resort – that is also being sued – is not allowed to comment on pending legal matters.
