This week Candice Warner opened up about suffering a devastating miscarriage in the wake of her husband David Warnerโs cricket ball-tampering scandal.
โIโd have to be bullet-proof for the taunting not to have affected me,โ she told Womanโs Day in an exclusive interview.
Now, TODAY Host Georgie Gardner has joined the heartbreaking conversation and revealed she has experienced multiple miscarriages.
Gardner recounted how peoplesโ responses to the news of her miscarriages were yet another blow at the time.
โOne of the things I came across was people immediately asking, โhow far were you?โ, โwhat week were you?โ, as if to suggest that if itโs in the first trimester or itโs not far into the second trimester itโs almost not even a baby,โ the mother-of-two said.
โI found that incredibly offensive.โ
She continued: โPeople mean well, but they just donโt know how to tackle it.
โI was very vocal, but I found that quite a lot of people were uncomfortable with that.โ
The breakfast television host said she desperately looked for โanswersโ following her loss.
โI wanted reasons, I wanted answers, I wanted to know why. I actually had a traumatic experience before I miscarried my first and immediately made that association,โ she said before adding that โmedical advice is that there is no correlationโ.
Throwing to Syvia Jeffreys, Gardner explained: โIโm so glad weโve discussed this today, I personally feel itโs a very important topic to address. Weโre a little emotional over here.โ
