Daenerys of the House Targaryen, the First of Her Name, The Unburnt, Queen of the Andals, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons… and loved-up thirtysomething.
That’s right, unfortunately for Jon Snow, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is officially off the market.
Yesterday, the British actress celebrated her 32nd birthday, taking to Instagram to share a photo of herself with a dragon-topped chocolate cake.
But it was Emilia’s latest post that had fans really paying attention. Showing two shadows kissing in the sand, the actress wrote, “Well that was a birthday I won’t be forgetting in a while. ❤️”
Emilia coyly didn’t tag anyone in the image with her, but naturally, fans jumped on the case and a few hours later had pinpointed the lucky man.
It turns out, 35-year-old director and writer Charlie McDowell posted the exact same shot, captioned: “Happy birthday, E. ❤️”
Clarke liked the photo, and McDowell liked hers. Case closed.
McDowell is no stranger to seeing women in the spotlight: He previously dated actress Rooney Mara from 2010 to 2016.
He’s also the son of two accomplished actors, Mary Steenburgen and Malcolm McDowell and his step-father is Ted Danson of The Good Place.
