Last night, the leading political figures attended a Buckingham Palace reception hosted by the Queen to commemorate 70 years of NATO alliance.

In the now-viral clip, the group can be seen huddled in a circle alongside Princess Anne.

Subtitles show Johnson asking Macron, โ€œIs that why you were late?โ€

To which Trudeau jumps in and responds: โ€œHe was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the topโ€ฆ Oh, yeah, yeah yeah. He announcedโ€ฆโ€

It has not been confirmed who the group were discussing but the exchange appears to refer to Trump who gave an unscripted 50-minute back-and-forth press conference alongside the Canadian Prime Minister on Tuesday evening.

In the video, Trudeau can then be seen reenacting the surprise on the faces of Trumpโ€™s press team when the President spontaneously revealed that the G7 summit would no longer be held at a Trump resort but at Camp David.

โ€œYou just watched his teamโ€™s jaws drop to the floor,โ€ Trudeau continued, imitating their shocked faces.

After learning of Trudeauโ€™s not-so-private conversation, Trump later told reporters: โ€œWell, heโ€™s two-faced.โ€

In a move which only proved he was perhaps a little hurt by Trudeauโ€™s comments, Trump revealed via Twitter that he had cancelled any further meetings.

โ€œโ€ฆ.When todayโ€™s meetings are over, I will be heading back to Washington,โ€ the 73-year-old wrote. โ€œWe wonโ€™t be doing a press conference at the close of NATO because we did so many over the past two days. Safe travels to all!โ€
