What This Dad Did To See His Daughter On Christmas Will Melt Your Heart

He's being dubbed the 'best dad ever'

Working on Christmas Day is something nobody wants to do, but for some, including Delta Airlines flight attendant Pierce Levy, it’s inevitable. Pierce was rostered on to work six different flights on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, meaning she wouldn’t be able to spend any time with her family.

However, to ensure Pierce wasn’t without her entire family on Christmas, her dad, Hal, booked tickets on every one of her flights that day, thanks to Delta employee benefits meaning his flights were either free or heavily discounted.

On one of the flights, Hal Vaughan told fellow passenger Mike Levy the measures he’d taken to see his daughter, which Levy later shared to Facebook.

“I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas ☹️,” Levy explained, alongside a selfie with Hal and another photo of Pierce.

“Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. 😊. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”

The post quickly went viral with over 42,000 shares and 214,000 likes.

Pierce later shared Levy’s post, writing that her dad’s plan was a “success”.

“Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success! A special thanks to all of the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect crew,” she wrote.

“He made it on every flight and even got first class Fort Myers to Detroit (Christmas miracle). Shoutout to Mike Levy for being a great first class passenger and helping us to understand how cool this actually is!”
