A horrific case has gone through the Brisbane court rooms this week, as a father pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of his three-year-old daughter, who he allegedly tied to a bed with a rope and โslapped like an adultโ.
Three-year-old Kyhesha-Lee Joughin passed away in March 2013, suffering from internal injuries.
Her father, Matthew Williamson, has denied hurting her or sexually abusing her, but has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
However News.com.au reports that Christopher Kent, the housemate of Kyheshaโs father Matthew Williamson has come forward with detailed evidence of the abuse Williamson put her through.
โHeโd smack her and slap her,โ Kent said.
โIt was like two adults fighting, it was just mean and horrible, it was nasty.โ
Kent also told the story of trying to revive Kyhesha, who had blue lips, and trying to get Williamsonโs help.
โHe didnโt give a s***,โ Kent said. โHe just wanted his coffee and smoke.โ
Kent also told the court that Williamson would tie Kyhesha up with a rope to her bed and leave her in her room all day. She wouldnโt be able to use the toilet, so she would throw faeces at the wall.
ABC News reports that the moment Matthew Williamson found Kyhesha dead in his living room, he asked Kent to get rid of his bong first.
โI started to dial and before I pressed call, thatโs when he said he was leaving so I said, โIf youโre going anywhere, can you get rid of this [bong] with youโ,โ Williamson said.
โThen I gave that to him and I proceeded to call triple-0.โ
The hearing is continuing to determine Matthew Williamsonโs sentence.
