Clarie Foy’s New Psychological Horror Film Will Give You Chills

You've never seen 'The Crown' star like this before

Claire Foy has swapped her crown and the Queen’s English for a hospital gown and American accent in the chilling psychological horror Unsane.

The film, which was shot entirely on an iPhone, follows a young woman (Foy) who flees her hometown after relentless threats from a stalker. The trailer shows Foy’s descent into madness (or is she actually completely sane?) after she’s committed into a psychiatric hospital against her will.

Terrifying.

Unsane is the latest project from Steven Soderbergh, the genius director responsible for Sex Lies and Videotape, Erin Brockovich, and the modern masterpiece Magic Mike.

“I think this is the future,” Soderbergh told Indiewire about filming Unsane on an iPhone.

“Anybody going to see this movie who has no idea of the backstory to the production will have no idea this was shot on the phone. That’s not part of the conceit.”

It seems Foy has also shifted gears and is tapping into her darker side following her two-season stint on The Crown. After Unanse, Foy will take on the iconic role of Lisbeth Salander in The Girl in The Spider’s Web. We can’t wait to see our favourite queen with badass piercings and tattoos in computer hacking mode.

In the meantime, check out the Unsane trailer below.
