Chris Brown has been released from police custody after being arrested on rape allegations in Paris, France. The singer has denied the claims of a woman who filed a rape complaint with authorities. In a strongly worded Instagram post, Brown rejected the accusations, saying that it was damaging to himself and his young daughter, Royalty, who turns 5 this year.
โI WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEARโฆโฆTHIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP [sic]!โ the 29-year-old R&B singer captioned a text image that read โThis b!tch lyinโ.โ
His statement continued in the caption: โNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL [sic] AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!โ
Despite Brown being released on no charge, the investigation into the incident will continue, AFP reports.

A judicial official told the Associated Press that Brown was detained on potential charges of aggravated rape and drug infractions on Monday, Jan. 21. The official said Brown was still in custody on Tuesday and could remain there for an additional two days while investigators decide whether or not to file preliminary charges, the AP reported.
Brown was investigated by police after the woman, 24, alleged in a complaint filed to the 1st arrondissement commissariat that she was raped by Brown at his hotel between Jan. 15 and 16, according to French outlet Closer. She claimed to have met Brown earlier at a nightclub on the street of Rue de Ponthieu.
The alleged rape is said to have occurred in Brownโs room at the Mandarin Oriental, which is a luxury hotel near Place Vendรดme. The woman additionally claimed that Brownโs friend and his bodyguard also abused her.
Reuters reported that two other people were arrested with Brown.
โWe confirm the detention in custody of Mr. Chris Brown and two other individuals on charges of aggravated rape and narcotics offences. Police custody is still in progress,โ the Paris Public Prosecutorโs Office tells People in a statement. โThe judicial action that will be given will not be communicated before the end of the custody.โ
