When images of Rihanna’s severely beaten face leaked online in 2009, the world was sent into a frenzy.
Her then boyfriend, Chris Brown, plead guilty to the singer’s assault and was sentenced to five years of probation.
Rihanna went on to continue her reign as one of the world’s biggest pop stars, telling Vanity Fair that though the pair didn’t really keep in touch, she (somehow) didn’t hate him for his actions: “I don’t hate him. I will care about him until the day I die. We’re not friends, but it’s not like we’re enemies,” she said in 2015.
However, today fans have been sent into a frenzy when Brown commented on one of Rihanna’s latest Instagram photos.
RiRi was just trying to enjoy her time at Crop Over festival when her thirsty, loser ex commented googly eyes on her photo.
Seriously? That emoji?
Needless to say, fans quickly shut Brown down with epic Twitter responses.
