Last week, Channing Tatum experienced the sad loss of his childhood best friend who passed away on Tuesday.
The Magic Mike star posted an emotional, heartfelt tribute to Instagram following the news that Corey had sadly died.
‘My very first best friend Corey Vaughn left this world for the next on Tuesday the 21st,’ he wrote. ‘Man there’s so much to say.
‘I’ll never forget his crazy ass and how he stuck up for and protected me when I first moved to Mississippi… I’ll never be able to see that smile of his again in this life.’
Read his statement in full below.
Following the news of his friend’s passing, Channing’s ex-wife Jenna Dewan has reached out to the star with a message of support.
The couple split after nine years of marriage back in April, and are parents to a daughter, Everly, aged five.
The two have been pretty amicable since their split, so news of Jenna’s message isn’t a total surprise, but it’s a very sweet gesture nonetheless.
In the comments section she sent her condolonces by writing: ‘RIP Corey. All the love in the world to his family right now.’
Our thoughts are with the Dewan/Tatums and all of Corey’s family and friends following their loss.
