The Gilmore Girls revival brought back almost all of the original cast – of course we saw Lauren Graham as Lorelai and Alexis Bledel as Rory, but we even saw Melissa McCarthy return as Sookie and Lisa Weil as Paris. But not everyone was there.
Some were disappointed to find that when Paris and Rory returned to Chilton and ran into ‘Tristan’ in the hallway, Chad Michael Murray was nowhere to be seen. The original ‘Tristan’ actor, who fancied Rory and Paris always had a sweet spot for, did not appear in the revival.

But Chad Michael Murray recently spoke out in an interview with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that he hasn’t even seen the revival yet!
“I haven’t personally seen it, but I know everyone’s really excited. I wish I could’ve been there but it’s all good — life is good. All my buddies got to go back.”
He previously told People’s Choice that he would only come back to the show if it was for “something really cool. I always want to do something that’s going to challenge me. I want a challenge, something fun, a little obscure. If they had something new and fun, absolutely.”
Given that ‘Tristan’ was only in the revival for approximately four seconds, we’re guessing he didn’t come back because he wasn’t really needed.

Chad Michael Murray also mentioned in his interview with Entertainment Tonight that he is now expecting a baby girl, so perhaps he was a little too busy for the revival? He spoke about how it’s going to be different from raising his son.
“It’s a whole new ball game,” he said. “So, I’ve got the guy figured out, you know, and we throw the ball around, and we wrestle, and he likes to beat up Daddy. Now it’s the baby girl, and she’s gonna have me wrapped around her finger, and I’m gonna be in big trouble and not know how to discipline or anything.”
Either way, it’s a shame we didn’t get more of Tristan’s antics!
