Celebrating Australia’s Rising Female Stars

Our homegrown talent is endless

In the entertainment world, our homegrown talent makes up some of the most successful actors and actresses globally. Trailblazers like Nicole Kidman, Toni Collette and Cate Blanchett have paved the way for other Aussie stars, including Margot Robbie and Katherine Langford, to breakthrough in Hollywood. The Casting Guild of Australia has today crowned Australia’s top emerging talent of 2019, revealing its 5th annual list of CGA Rising Stars.

The Awards have a strong track record of picking Australian talent who are set to do amazing things. Previous recipients include Eliza Scanlan, who has appeared in Baby Teeth and soon-to-be-released Little Women, as well as 13 Reasons Why’s Katherine Langford, Tilda Cobham-Harvey (Hotel Mumbai) and Alexander England (Little Monsters) just to name a few.

“The talent in Australia is immense and every year it’s a difficult task for the CGA to narrow this list down to just 10. Past recipients have gone on to great success and we expect our ‘Class of 2019’ to be no different”, says CGA President, Kirsty McGregor.

Below, the rising female stars you’re about to see everywhere.
