Creative director, Hedi Slimane, has been shaking things up over at the French fashion house since taking to the helm last year.
Determined to loosen the fashion set’s grip on their purses once more, the former head of Saint Laurent has introduced the brand’s first fragrance collection since 1964 – when the brand unveiled its debut scent, Vent Fou.
The Céline Haute Parfumerie line comprises of 11 fragrances developed by Slimane himself and each unisex edition is packaged in a delightful bottle destined to be displayed on our bathroom shelf.
“This Haute Parfumerie collection is probably the most intimate and personal part of my overall creative project at Céline. I had the desire to approach the romantic myth of eternal youth in an olfactory way. How to express the idea of being 17-years-old, the realm of possibilities, teenage subtle fragility, but also the spleen?” Slimane told Wall Street Journal.
“Working on this perfume, I had to recognise the emotions I felt growing up to adulthood.”
The collection is now available to shop online and at the luxury label’s first perfume boutique in Paris with prices starting at $320 per bottle.
Hands up, who else fancies a last-minute European getaway?
