Cate Blanchett has added her name to the long list of Harvey Weinstein accusers, claiming the disgraced Hollywood movie mogul sexually harassed her.
In an interview with Variety, Blanchett explains that Weinstein โprimarily preyed, like most predators, on the vulnerable.โ
โI got a bad feeling from him,โ she says. โHe would often say to me, โWeโre not friends.โ
When asked what that meant, Blanchett replied: โWell, I wouldnโt do what he was asking me to do,โ but declined to go into further detail.

Blanchett has appeared in multiple Weinstein-produced movies, from Carol to The Aviator to The Talented Mr Ripley.
When asked if she wanted to see Weinstein in prison, she responded, โWell, I hope so. Statutory rape is a crime, the last time I looked.โ
โHeโs been held up as an exemplar because heโs unfortunately typical of certain men,โ she said. โIโm interested in those people being prosecuted. We have to set a legal precedent.โ
Blanchett is the latest name in a list of more than 80 Hollywood actresses alleging Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted them, including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Beckinsale, Ashley Judd, Rose McGowan, Eva Green, Cara Delevingne and Heather Graham.
