Our favourite cult comedy series Broad City has put a hilarious spin on everything from pegging to job interviews and Hillary Clinton’s legacy.
If you haven’t seen the incredible series yet, here’s the lowdown: the Comedy Central show follows the hijinks of two inseparable best friends, Abbi and Ilana, in New York City.
Launching on September 14, season four of the Amy Poehler-produced comedy is promising to be the most daring and ambitious one yet.
We’ll learn how Abbi and Ilana met (in a glorious tribute to Sliding Doors) and will see how the two women fare in Trump’s America. Creators Abbi Jacobsen and Ilana Glazer revealed they’ll censor Donald Trump’s name as though it’s a swear word. “There’s no airtime for this orange,” Glazer told USA Today. “We bleep his name the whole season.”
Glazer added: “Ilana’s ‘powers’ are decreasing during the current administration because it’s just so hard to (orgasm) when you know so many people are in such danger. So Ilana works through her Trump-related (hang-up) and it’s wild.”
You can also expect some magnificent cameos this season, from Ru Paul to Shania Twain.
Broad City airs on The Comedy Channel on Foxtel from September 14.
