After Bradley Cooper’s ex-wife Jennifer Esposito‘s cryptic Instagram comment – because what does “ha” even mean – made headlines around the world, the usually low key Law & Order actress has clarified her reaction to Cooper’s Oscars performance with Lady Gaga.
In case you missed it, the A Star Is Born co-stars’ moving duet at the Oscars once again ignited rumours that the director and pop star are having an affair with seemingly everyone – including Bradley’s ex – commenting on their intense chemistry.
Before Cooper met his current love Irina Shayk, he was married to actress and author Jennifer Esposito between 2006-07. Her comment, which was first picked up by the Instagram account Comments By Celebs, is in response to David Spade’s post which reads: “Is there any change these 2 aren’t fucking?”
To which Esposito responded with a loaded: “Ha!”

We’re not sure exactly what Esposito is implying here – is she laughing at the mere thought of it? Or is she trying to say it’s probably true? The most likely scenario here is that she’s doesn’t actually know the truth and is just stirring the pot with this eyebrow-raising jab.
Taking to Instagram to breakdown her “ha” response. Jennifer explained, “I literally laughed at him because he was so bold in what he was saying,” she says in the video. “I thought it was funny and I’m allowed to think something is funny.”
It wouldn’t be the first time Jennifer threw some shade her ex’s way. She referred to Cooper as a “master manipulator” in her memoir, Jennifer’s Way.
“I should have noticed the red flags from the beginning—actually, they were more like an entire marching band squad of red flags — but I ignored them because, honestly, I didn’t think the relationship was really going to go anywhere,” she wrote. “He was funny, smart, cocky, arrogant, and a master manipulator. I didn’t necessarily find him that attractive, but I figured that I could enjoy his sense of humor and nonsense for a while.”
