Blake Lively Shared The Most Hilarious Throwback Video of Herself In A Hospital Bed

Thank goodness hubby Ryan Reynolds was there to capture the whole thing!

Blake Lively has a new movie coming out in 2020, The Rhythm Section, that’s been three years in the making. Feeling nostalgic, Blake shared a video on her Instagram Stories of the time she ended up in hospital with a hand injury during filming.

Back in December 2017, Blake sustained a hand injury during filming that caused production to be suspended for six months. Reminiscing on her hospital visit following the injury, on Monday Blake posted an old video of herself in her hospital bed with her right arm in a sling.

“Literally 4 weeks after I said, ‘I’d give my right hand to be in this movie!’ (Good thing no one told me to ‘break a leg’),” Blake wrote.

The video shows Blake waking up after surgery with the song “Wild Thing” by Tone Loc playing in the background. It ends with her giving a groggy wink to the camera.

In her caption, she credits her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as her bedside DJ and videographer.

“My husband somehow knew ‘Wild Thing’ would be my version of smelling salts. I’ve never felt so seen. Or high,” she said, adding, “Also… I have zero recollection of this.”

The Rhythm Section is a modern adaptation of British thriller writer Mark Burnell’s Stephanie Patrick series. Blake plays Stephanie Patrick, who learns that the plane crash that killed her family wasn’t an accident. She sets out to seek revenge on those responsible and find her own redemption.
