This latest season of The Bachelor has been delivering the drama in spades, from love-struck contestants to bullying in the mansion and breakups and breakdowns, this season has to be one of the most controversial yet.
And while there’s always drama, usually we at least know that there is light and a happy ending at the end of the tunnel. But this season all signs are pointing to that not being the case.
Maybe we’re *still* scarred from Sam Frost and Blake Garvey’s epic Bachelor breakup, but more and more evidence is stacking up regarding the current relationship status of the Honey Badger.
So here let’s take a look at the evidence:
1. An Extreme Lack Of Enthusiasm Talking About His Experience
A Men’s Health interview from August saw a less than gushing Badgelor talking about his experience on the show.
“ Mate, I wouldn’t put my money on 99 per cent of those girls,’ Nick joked when he was asked who he should put his money on before then going on to say he wouldn’t describe any of the girls on the show as his “dream girl”.
“Id create her myself,” he said. “It wouldn’t be one of the ones on the show that’s for sure!” Ouch.
2. A Very-Telling Video On Instagram
While there are a few front-runners this season, the best odds are on Brittany Hockley to take home the final rose. But that doesn’t mean it’s happily ever after for the pair. Last week Hockley’s sister posted a very-telling video on her Instagram Story.
She captioned the video, “Get. It. Girl. THAT’S a man who wants the kiss,” but it was the conversation in the background that raised eyebrows.
“Maybe he’s not ready to settle down…” a voice can be heard saying, to which another voice replies, “Maybe not…”.
The video has since been deleted but it has definitely raised a few eyebrows…
3. Spotted With A Mystery Woman
Earlier this month Cummins was photographed by a fan with a mystery woman who was most definitely not one of the girls from the show.
The grainy video was taken by bystanders who captioned it with: ‘So no-one wins [The bachelor] new chick in town’.
A bystander told the Daily Mail that Cummins didn’t appear to be “hiding anything” and they were certain this woman wasn’t one of the contestants from the season.
“I’ve been watching The Bachelor and [the woman] was definitely not one of the contestants. She was way too short to be Brittany,” they said.
“They didn’t kiss or cuddle, but their body language was close. It kind of seemed like they’d been out for dinner and were saying goodbye at the end of the night.”
Cummins’ manager, Josh White, has defended the photographs, saying the rugby star is often approached by members of the public.
“As you can appreciate, Nick is a well-known public figure and gets stopped by both men, women and children in the street multiple times a day and night wanting to chat or take a picture,” he said in a statement.
4. Speaking In Past Tense About His Relationship
Cummins has used an interesting choice of words in a number of his promo interviews. Speaking on The Project back when the season began, Cummins choice of words seemed odd and spoke about the relationship in the past tense.
“I was very lucky in this season. There’s some cracking sorts, but you know, once you spend some time with them they’re even better birds. I was very lucky.”
Then, speaking with KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O, Cummins then dodged a question from a caller about a reunion with his ex-girlfriend, Martine Thomassen, who he split from in 2017.
“That’s a beauty,” he said, adding, “well, I’d have to fly to Norway, which that would be a whole different kettle of fish. How am I going to do my work there?”
That’s not a no, FYI.
But he did go on to say he and Thomassen, have both moved on.
“No, no. I’ve had that chat and we both know we’ve moved on. But I’m excited to see where her life goes as well.”
“What I can say is um, is not a lot, but I’m bloody happy alright. I’m very happy so take what you will.”
6. He’s Reportedly Had Hook-Ups Since Filming Wrapped
There are a number of reports (many unsubstantiated) from women who claim they’ve hooked up with the Bachelor since filming wrapped…
So while all signs point to a single Honey Badger, a small piece of us can’t help but hope it’s all smoke and mirrors and there really will be another happy Bachie ending…
