The Bachelor‘s Matty J just took a break from sharing cryptic posts about the woman who wins his heart to focus on a bigger issue: marriage equality.
The Bondi babe shared a heartfelt message with his 169k followers, writing: “Not every Australian will get the chance to date 22 people on national TV but they should all have the opportunity to marry the person they love and be treated equally under the law.”
“If you support marriage equality make sure you enrol to vote or update your details by midnight August 24 at aec.gov.au,” he continued.
Matty’s post has already received over 31k likes and 400 comments, many from fans thanking the Bachelor for speaking publically and using his platform to support the issue.
“Very well said @matthewdavidjohnson, everyone should be able to love and marry the person of their dreams,” one person wrote.
“Thank you for posting this Matty! Way to go, Love wins,” another commented.
Australians have until midnight tomorrow August 24th to enrol to vote and check that their postal address is correct. It takes five minutes, head to aec.gov.au now.
