It turns out that mother may not always know best.
The hashtag #AsAMother began trending last night after Channel 9 television presenter Sonia Kruger announced her support for ending Muslim immigration to Australia.
After copping abuse on social media, Kruger then posted a response to Twitter.

In it, she said “as a mother, I believe it’s vital in a democratic society to be able to discuss these issues without automatically being labeled racist”.

Twitter didn’t take too kindly to Kruger’s announcement.
In response, social media usuers revived the hashtag #asamother, which began trending in the UK after British politician Andrea Leadsom implied that she was a superior Prime Ministerial candidate because she was a mother.
#asamother does @SoniaKruger care about how many Muslim kids are going to be bullied, abused and attacked at school because of her today?
