Many families across the country snapped up presale tickets on Tuesday to Sheeran’s highly-anticipated ÷ (Divide) World Tour tour, just a day after the tragic events in Manchester.

A spokeswoman for Frontier Touring has assured marie claire that safety precautions are in place for all of Sheeran’s 14 stadium concerts in Australia and New Zealand in 2018.

“Frontier Touring continue to take security measures at concert events extremely seriously,” a statement from the promoter said.

At Parliament House today, Foreign Affairs Minister Julie Bishop explained that although Australia’s terror threat level had not changed, all major events would be “under review”.

“Australia’s threat level has not changed, there is no evidence to suggest it should change,” she said, as reported by news.com.au.

“We are also reviewing places of mass gathering, crowded places, to ensure to keep the places as safe as possible for Australians and tourists.”

Today The Sun revealed that a fan who attended Ed Sheeran’s concert at Manchester Arena in April had slammed the venue’s security arrangements.

“Went to see Ed Sheeran on Sunday April 23. Concert was great but there was no security on the door which was quite alarming,” the concert goer wrote in a review on TripAdvisor.

“A female security person just scanned our ticket and didn’t check my bag at all. Once we got in and bought a bottle of wine the top is taken off so they are not used as missiles but no check to see if you have any type of weapon/bomb in your bag.”

The concerned fan added: “In these times of terror attacks it’s not good enough for the crowd or the act on stage. #needs sorting”.
