Radio star and comedian Andy Lee will star in Offspring star TJ Power’s writing and directorial debut, The Daily Telegraph confirms.
Lee’s announcement in the film comes after he and radio partner Hamish Blake announced their drive-time show would finish at the end of 2017 in order for the pair to pursue other projects.
The short film called ‘Your Call Is Important to Us‘ explores what really happens at a call centre.
“I got the idea one day when I was in the states and I was put on hold for hours and I just thought, ‘Are they intentionally trying to screw with me?’ Power said.
“Everyone I approached said yes straight away.”
Lee and Blake, both 35, will star in Channel 9’s True Story with Hamish & Andy to air later this year. The comedy duo met while studying Commerce at University of Melbourne in 2003.
