Amy Schumer Booed And Fans Walk Out Of Her Live Show In Florida

The crowd weren’t happy with her jokes about Donald Trump

Some 200 people reportedly got up and walked out of Amy Schumer’s live show in Tampa, Florida on Sunday night after she criticised US presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Schumer, an avid Hillary Clinton supporter and outspoken feminist and gun control campaigner and has spoke out about her own sexual abuse, referred to Trump as an “orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster,” according to the Tampa Bay Times.

She then called a Trump supporter onstage to talk about why he was voting for the Republican candidate, who cited his national security policies and distrust of Hillary Clinton as his main reasons.

“Do you get worried at all with how impulsive he is?” she asked him. “That he gets so fired up from Saturday Night Live doing a skit on him … do you worry he’ll be impulsive and get us in a lot of f–king trouble we can’t get out of?”

As audience members booed her for talking about politics, Schumer responded to the crowd: “Of course, we’re in Florida, you’re going to boo. I know you’re here to laugh, but you choose how you’re going to live your life, and it’s just too important. Just so you know, from now on, if you yell out, you’re gonna get thrown out.”

After incident, Schumer told Vanity Fair that she was not fazed by the small minority of the crowd who left, and says she will continue to tell it like it is.

“I loved the crowd and my show in Tampa last night! I want to thank the 8,400 people who stayed. We had a great time! We have always depended on comedians to make us laugh and tell the truth. I am proud to continue that tradition.
