Last week, two of our favourite women, Kate Middleton and Alicia Vikander, met in Sweden as part of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal tour.
The Oscar-winning actress was escorted by Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven to a reception dinner at the British Ambassador to Sweden’s residence, where not only were Kate and Wills in attendance, but also the Swedish royal family.
While we have no photos (sob) or intel as to what the stylish pair talked about, Vikander did reveal a bit of her conversation with Prince William.
Speaking to Norwegian chat show host, Fredrik Skavlan, Vikander revealed that her opening line to Prince William was: “Well, I’ve seen The Crown.“
“It was actually the first thing my friend and I started talking about with William. Apparently, he’s a Game of Thrones fan, I was told,” she continued, reports Hello!.
The 29-year-old also revealed she was nervous about royal etiquette, saying she didn’t even dare to take a sip of water when she first sat down.
“I was sitting there looking around me,” Vikander recalled. “I guessed that you were supposed to wait, but I was very hungry.”
“Normally if you’re more than 10 people you’re allowed to start eating, but nobody else did so I held back. I didn’t even have a sip of water because I thought ‘No, I’ll just wait’.”
The Crown and confusion about royal etiquette? Vikander is our kinda girl.
