Ah, romance.
Thanks to classic films like Pretty Woman, Love Actually and The Notebook, we’ve come to expect a type of grandeur when it comes to finding ‘The One’.
Well, one woman is seemingly living out her very own rom-com after her written note penned on an airplane sick bag went viral.

A Reddit user came across the handwritten note by a woman named Andrea.
Posting the image to the social platform, the user wrote: “Found this in the back pocket of a seat on an aircraft I was cleaning last year. Where ever you are, I hope it went well for you.”
The letter’s message begins, “If you’re reading this, hello 🙂 My name is Andrea and I am incredibly bored. Right now this flight is going from Miami to DC. I’m 21.”

Andrea then goes on to explain her travelling situation.
“So I bought the ticket last night at 4am because I have a huge crush on my best friend. He’s flying from Boston to New Orleans and has a layover in D.C. I actually live in D.C. and was gonna go up soon anyway, so I thought why not, I’ll surprise him at the airport during his layover.
“I’m gonna tell him I have a crush on him. Bold move, right?”
In a twist that could only be fit for a rom-com, Andrea revealed she had only four days until she left for a semester abroad in Australia.
“I won’t see him for five months so it’s really the last chance I have,” she continues. “I don’t really know what I’m gonna say but I’m just gonna wing it. Why not I mean I’m leaving so who cares. I dunno man wish me luck whoever you are.”
“Yeah yeah I’m lame for writing this on a barf bag but I’m bored, my WiFi doesn’t work, and I’m nervous as f*ck so this is me venting.”

“Anyway hope this has made your flight a little less boring,” she concluded.
“Do me a favour and do something a little crazy today like I am. Good luck whoever you are.”
There’s no word yet on whether Andrea was successful in her attempt, but the thread has since earned 50,000 engagements and over 1200 comments.
And we may just take her advice – any pointers on doing something a little crazy?
