A psychiatrist who worked on the JonBenet investigation has revealed that there is one key piece of evidence that reveals someone is being untruthful in the case.
Steven Pitt, a forensic psychiatrist based in Arizona, told People that it all comes down to a piece of fruit โ a pineapple โ found in her stomach.

After JonBenet was found dead in her basement on Christmas Day, 1996, the 6-year-oldโs autopsy showed that the fruit hadnโt had time to digest properly. However JonBenetโs mother said she hadnโt had any pineapple that day.
Fingerprints have been found on the bowl used to give JonBenet the pineapple belonging to the mother, suggesting she is being untruthful.
โIt has been solved,โ Pitt said. โI think in the minds of lots of people, the case is solved. The question is, do I think anyone will ever be criminally charged? No.โ
