1. She’s trained in classical ballet
According to Kloss, her graceful runway walk is the result of classical ballet training. We’re not surprised to learn that growing up on the dance scene brought elegance to her modelling!
2. She spent her childhood playing “every sport in the book”
Not only has she mastered the art of ballet, but Kloss’ high school years were also filled with basketball, soccer and swim team. No wonder she looks so athletic!
3. She’s an avid coder!
After participating in a two-week coding program with the Flatiron School in New York, Kloss became obsessed with the tech industry! She has since launched her own ‘Kode With Karlie’ scholarship program for girls aged 13 – 18. Kloss also programmed a drone to fly and deliver cookies. Amazing!
4. She bakes cookies (in a philanthropic way!)
The blonde beauty bakes gluten and dairy free ‘kookies’, which are then sold at the Momofuku Milk Bar in New York. A portion of the profits are donated to ‘Feed’, a charity organisation aimed at ending world hunger. Now that’s what we call a good baker RISING to the occasion! (Get it?)
5. She has plans to leave the modelling industry…
Despite her major success in the fashion industry, Kloss has said that she has plans to go back to university. To add to her long list of aspirations, the 24-year-old model has always wanted to study business or become a paediatrician.
6. She’s a big fan of the digital detox
Despite a whopping 5.1 million followers on Instagram, Kloss taking a digital detox once a week. Why? Well, she believes that turning off her phone and taking a break from emailing allows her to reconnect with her friends and family. All the more time to hang out with T-Swift and her A-list girl squad!
7. She’s got something special in common with the Kardashians…
Much like tabloid queen Kim Kardashian, Karlie Kloss’s three sisters all have the initials ‘KK’ – Kristine, Kimberly and Kariann Kloss! Oh, and not to forget her dad Kurt Kloss! Now that’s Krazy!
