1.    There’s another video

Were you shocked when you saw the footage of Trump and Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush have a vulgar conversation about sexual assault including the now-infamous “grab them by the pussy, you can do anything”, recorded back in 2005?

Well, you’re not alone. And neither is the tape. Producers from The Apprentice alleged on Twitter in the wake of the scandal that they have video of Trump saying much, much worse things, including the n-word.

In news that will shock no-one, Trump’s wife has released a statement in support of her husband. Sure, she says that his words and sentiment in the video were “unacceptable and offensive to me” but she also says they do not truly represent the Trump she knows and loves.

“He has the heart and mind of a leader. I hope people will accept his apology, as I have,” Melania added.

3.    One million women have responded

After hearing the #TrumpTapes, Canadian author Kelly Oxford implored her Twitter followers to share their own experience of sexual assault on the platform. She received 1,000 responses in the first hour, a number that increased dramatically as more and more users shared the original tweet, with a minimum of 50 women tweeting her every minute.

The end result? More than a million Tweets shared by women from around the world revealing their stories of sexual assault.

4.    One of them was Amber Tamblyn

Blake Lively’s BFF, actress Amber Tamblyn was one of the women who responded to Oxford, taking to Instagram to share publicly for the first time her experience of abuse.

The post outlined her relationship with a particularly violent ex boyfriend. One night, after their relationship had ended, he hunted her down at a concert, “grabbed me under my skirt by my vagina – my pussy? – and lifted me up off the floor, literally, and carried me like something he owned, like a piece of trash, out of the club… That part of my body, which the current Presidential Nominee of the United States Donald Trump recently described as something he’d like to grab a woman by, was bruised by my ex-boyfriend’s violence for at least the next week… To this day I remember that moment. I remember the shame.”
