11 Celebs Who Have Alcohol Brands

Celebrities love to put their name to various brands. The recent craze is alcohol, with Graham Norton’s Sauvignon Blanc having huge international success. Graham Norton’s not the only one to dip into pool of wines, spirits, and beers; we’ve compiled a list of 11 celebrities with alcohol brands.

Graham Norton

Graham Norton has not merely given his name to a brand – he has personally created an award-winning Sauvignon Blanc with New Zealand’s Invivo Wines, that is now available in Australia at BWS (RRP $20.00). The talk show king has sold over 400,000 bottles of his wine in the six months since its release, making it one of the most successful celebrity wine collaborations ever.

Drew Barrymore

Our very own July cover girl, Drew Barrymore, is extremely proud of her wine, regularly posting snaps with it on her Instagram (including this snap of her enjoying a glass on Chelsea Lately). Barrymore by Carmel Road is described by Carmel Road as “crisp and refreshing with citrus and tropical notes.”

Dan Aykroyd

Comedian, actor, writer and vodka-owner Dan Aykroyd truly really was the king of cool when he released Crystal Head Vodka with artist John Alexander. The skull-shaped bottle sets it apart from other vodka brands in itself. According to the Crystal Head website, the liquid is filtered seven times – three of which are through semi precious crystals. A 700ml bottle will cost you around $82.

Angelina and Brad

When our favourite Hollywood couple aren’t staring in Blockbusters or being idol philanthropists, Brangelina are putting their name to wine. Their 2012 Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé is made in their estate in France. You can get your hands a 750ml bottle for about $30.00

Baz Luhrmann

Baz Luhrmann’s brand endorsement is absolutely Australian-inspired Absolut vodka. Absolute Oz Spiced Orange Vodka feature hints of cardamom, eucalyptus and orange blossom.

Sam Neill

When Sam Neill isn’t escaping dinosaurs in Jurassic Park films or starring in hit TV series, he’s running his vineyard, “Two Paddocks”. Neill’s not all that fond of the celebrity wine-maker category, telling The Drinks Business “I’ve been making wine for 20 years and don’t want to be lumped into that category.”

Frances Coppola

Sofia Coppola’s film, Marie Antoinette, showcased the last French Queen’s lavish lifestyle. Coppola must know a thing or two about fine dining, with her father, Francis Coppola, having named his wine after her. Sofia is a tribute from Frances to his only daughter, and the “romantic, ebullient spirit of women everywhere.”

George Clooney

George Clooney first lent his name to Nespresso in 2006. He has since added spirits to the list of beverages he puts his face to when he created Casamigos tequila with life long friends Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman. Their idea was to make a tequila that didn’t have to be covered up with salt or lime.
