This Famous Instagram Blogger Has Been Called Out For The Most Embarrassing Reason

Well, this is awkward

Insta’ travel bloggers are just about the most annoying people on the planet. They travel the world and stay at the most luxurious resorts to do the most amazing activities and eat the most incredible food, while the rest of us sit back at our desks dying of jealousy.

And the worst part? They actually get paid to do it.

But popular Instagrammer Amelia Liana, who has almost half a million followers, has found herself in hot water after posting a photo of herself looking at the NYC skyline which appears to be totally fake.

The photo, which has now been removed from her account, shows Amelia at the top of the Rockefeller Centre looking out at the city. Her caption read: “What a welcome to NYC #TopOfTheRock”

The problem? Amelia’s photo, which was uploaded in May, didn’t include a huge building, the One World Trade Centre (formerly called Freedom Tower), which was completed in 2013.

The Times had experts analyse the picture, who confirmed the 26-year-old had indeed photoshopped herself onto an old photo.

Now fans are calling out other photos on Amelia’s feed for being fake, such as the one below which is void of all crowds, has a shadow which mysteriously stops before reaching the water and strangely includes none of the construction which was going on at the time of her trip.

In another photo, Amelia’s head appears to be see-through, with people commenting: “You can see the trees through the top of her head!!! Fake as.”

She also somehow got an ice cream from one side of town to the other, without so much as a drop melting.

“How is this possible?” one person wrote. “That ice cream place is nowhere near where you ‘took that pic’.”

Following the controversy, Amelia has written a blog post saying, “all my imagery is actually shot at the time in the location.”

The internet, however, is not convinced.
