Married At First Sight’s Tracey Jewel has revealed that she and ex-husband from the series, Dean Wells, are back in touch after he reached out to her following her recent overdose in Europe.
Yesterday, Tracey revealed that she had sought medical treatment after online bullying and the breakdown of her relatinoship with ex-boyfriend Patrick Kedemos had taken it’s toll on her.
Tracey shared an Instagram post in which she blamed the trolls for ruining her life.
“You’ve won trolls. I give up. You’ve ruined my life. You’ve involved my friends, family, clients and sponsors. I have lost everything because of your relentless hate. Hope you’re happy you’ve claimed another one,” she wrote.
Her ex TV-husband Dean Wells got in touch with Tracey out of concern.
“In my despair, I put something on my Instagram saying ‘I’m done, the trolls have won’ and it’s been amazing the support I’ve received from Dean, from the show. He’s been such a support for me,” Tracey tells Who.
“He’s [reached out] and he’s text a few times and publically messaged saying for people to leave me alone. He’s been amazing.”
The MAFS star also revealed she had received support from her fellow castmates, Gabriele bartlett and Sara Rosa.
“Gabrielle and Sarah Rosa I’ve remained close to from the show. They’ve been really supportive too,” she shared.
“I don’t like burdening people with my problems but it’s nice to know that they’re there if I need to speak to them.”
Opening up about her recent breakdown the reality star told New Idea, “I went into a head spin. I just didn’t see a way out of the current situation.”
“I’ve been bullied and cyber-trolled relentlessly, pretty much all year,” she explained.
“I’m not someone who has a history of depression, but I started getting help in April because the psychologist said I might have post-traumatic stress disorder because of everything I’d been through.”
The final straw for Jewel was an ill-fated reunion with ex-boyfriend Patrick Kedemos that ended abruptly while the pair were on holiday in Europe.
“He said, ‘you should come with me to get away from all of this’,” Tracey explained. “Even though I couldn’t afford it, he said ‘don’t worry about it, you’re my partner. I’ll look after you’.”
“Once we were away, it became very evident that he thought I would just go back to my normal bubbly self,” Tracey explains. ‘I’ve been very emotionally withdrawn because of the stress from the trolls and the bullying and he thought that would magically disappear.”
After a week away together Kedemos reportedly ended the relationship and that’s when stories began to surface that the MAFS star was “stranded and alone” in Berlin.
Despite reports police were called, Kedemos has denied becoming aggressive.
Jewel, who was forced to turn to the Australian Embassy, says she felt overwhelmed, ‘I went into a head spin and I overdosed,’ the reality star revealed.
Kedemos then reportedly gave her money to return home, where she is now seeking medical help.
