Ever since the pandemic began, there’s clearly been somewhat of a makeup revolution.
Gone are the days of layers upon layers of foundation, or blending out four different shadow shades on your eyelids. Now, the idea of ‘clean beauty’ has gone viral. Makeup fans have begun embracing their natural complexions and enhancing the features they have with a limited supply of products, which are sparingly (but strategically) applied.
This is where TikTok comes in. The social media platform’s latest addition to that beauty phenomenon not only promises a chiselled, contoured jawline, but can do so using only two products.
If you’re unsure of its legitimacy, the hack itself has been given the tick of approval by one of the beauty industry’s most trusted voices, NikkieTutorials.
Taking to TikTok, Nikkie shared her version of the viral video trend, watching how the technique works and then trying it out on camera for her 5.1 million fans to see.

But how does the hack work exactly? Well, it’s rather straight forward. If you’re looking to up your jaw line game, give this trick a try and enhance your natural face shape.
All that your shopping list needs is a contour or bronzer in a cream or liquid formula and a setting powder. Plus, something to blend with, but most makeup users will already have a blending brush or sponge in their stash.
As for the steps, they’re fairly easy to follow. Using your contour or bronzer, draw on a solid line of contour directly beneath your jawline and then another directly above—almost ‘sandwiching’ in your natural jawline.
Take your preferred blending tool and blend out the lines until they’re nothing more than a shadow. For the final step (yes, already!), pack on a healthy layer of setting power on the areas with contour and brush off once set. And voilà!
By contouring just above and below the jawline, it creates shadows around it which draws the eye to your natural jawline. Not only does it take no time at all, but it doesn’t take a makeup master to perfect the technique either, in fact, you could probably do it with your eyes closed.
If you don’t own what’s needed, fret not. Below, take a look through the best cream or liquid bronzers and setting powders on the market.
