The 78th Annual Golden Globes are officially done and dusted for another year, and as with most Zoom-events—let alone one that was broadcast to millions around the world—it wasn’t without its fair share of hiccups. Held at Los Angeles’ Beverly Hilton and New York’s Rainbow Room, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosted a small in-person audience for the ceremony, with plenty of Hollywood faces dropping in via video chat.
As always Twitter was along for the ride, providing us with hilarious commentary—poking fun at everything from celebrities’ bland Zoom backgrounds to Jason Sudeikis’ very casual, yet also very on-trend, tie-dye hoodie.
Below, the best memes and tweets from the 2021 Golden Globes.
So, we’re all in agreement—Amy Poehler and Tina Fey are the best co-hosts in the biz.

Jane Fonda is a global treasure, and no one can tell me otherwise.

The #GoldenGlobes would be immensely better if Bill Murray was just on screen the whole time with his martini reacting to everything
