A seven-year-old golden retriever aptly-named Sunny lives with his owner, Karen Eveleth, in Colorado and has taught us all a lesson in neighbourly behaviour.
The pair have been living next to friend Renee Hellman for over a decade and when she went into self-isolation to protect her health, Sunny happily took on her grocery duties.
To make sure their neighbour has everything she needs, Sunny retrieves a shopping list from Hellman and then dashes home to deliver the all-important document.
“I went to the store, got her groceries and he delivered them all to her,” Eveleth explained proudly.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic broke, the inspirational duo have completed several shopping trips for their neighbour which she is incredibly grateful for.
“Little things like Sunny coming over to visit is nice, and it makes you feel good,” she told KKTV 11 News. “It’s a way of communicating.”
Further demonstrating that it’s the little things that matter the most in times like this, Sunny’s owner added: “Anyone can do something that is so small but can be so helpful.”
Forward on to a friend in need of cheering up.
